Jennifer Egan was born on this day in 1962. She was a National Book Award Fiction Finalist in 2001 for Look at Me, and was also an NBA Fiction Judge in 2009. In 2007, Egan selected Asali Solomon as a 5 Under 35 honoree for her story collection, Get Down.
