Happy 75th birthday, Robert Stone!
Stone won the National Book Award for Fiction in 1975 for Dog Soldiers. He was also a Fiction Finalist four other times: in 1982 and 1983 for A Flag for Sunrise (hardcover and paperback), in 1992 for Outerbridge Reach, and in 1998 for Damascus Gate. In 2011, Stone selected Danielle Evans as a 5 Under 35 honoree for her first book, Before You Suffocate Your Own Fool Self.
